TED NUGENT

Dommage qu'il n'ait pas gardé la paire de tueurs (deux ex-DOKKEN) qui l'accompagnait l'an dernier sur scène.

J'ai eu la chance de le voir au Schwung. Si ce mec est un gros naze, sur scène il dégage une énergie incroyable !!! A ne pas manquer s'il passe près de chez vous.

J'ai hate :

J'aime beaucoup la trilogie "strangehold,free for all et cat scratch fever".
Il a un peu viré fm(miné)dans les eighties avec des albums insipides et pleins de keyboards(merci mr bontempi).
Son comeback avec craveman,le live et le dernier en date "love grenade"(la pochette avec la grenade et le ruban contre le sida,quel finesse ce ted!!!) est plutot reussi.C'est dans les vieilles marmittes qu'on fait les meilleures soupes.

On attend la sortie d' un cd et d'un DVD live enregistrés lors de sa prestation au Sweden Rock Festival en 2006 courant mai , le 13 , me semble t-il . :tooot: :tooot: :tooot:

Eagle Rock Entertainment will release Sweden Rocks by TED NUGENT on CD May 13th The concert was captured at the 2006 Sweden Rock Festival, featuring the singer/songwriter/guitarist with drummer Mick Brown and bassist Barry Sparks. A DVD of the show will be released June 10th.

One would be hard-pressed to name another intrinsically American Hard Rocker who backs up his talk with surefire action like Nugent. His non-musical pursuits have garnered as much ink as his hellfire rock’n’roll. Outdoorsman, hunter, Conservative Political Activist, and controversial spokesperson on behalf of The Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, Nugent epitomizes and embodies the ethic of the outspoken pioneer taking on all comers in all matter of debates… while still making damn sure to rock non-stop and without regret. Ted Nugent is an American Original.

But it’s his shotgun style of guitar playing that has endeared him to his huge fanbase. And it’s on a stage where that pepper spray of staccato notes is best appreciated. Although he has admitted to partial hearing loss due to his close proximity to massive amounts of ampage, he still cavorts about onstage like a man possessed. And his fans love it. In Sweden, in 2006, he’s still at the height of his powers and, if the reaction from the crowd is an indication, he hasn’t lost one iota of his arsenal.

Nugent split from his Detroit band The Amboy Dukes after their major hit ('Journey To The Center Of Your Mind'). As a solo artist, he has racked up an impressive string of hit singles and albums. With homes in both Michigan and Texas, he has maintained his public role as a noted author, columnist, and political activist while still selling over 35 million albums in his career, also famous for playing the Gibson Byrdland guitar. The Gibson guitar company has since named a model for him.

Le batteur originel qui accompagna Ted Nugent , Cliff Davies à ses débuts vient de nous quitter . R.I.P .

R.I.P. NUGENT DRUMMER CLIFF DAVIES:
"Sunday Morning, April 13, 2008, Ted Nugent's drummer/producer, Cliff Davies, passed away in Dallas, Georgia. He was 59 years old.
Cliff was best known as the drummer and producer for Ted Nugent in the 1970's and early 1980's when Ted was at his peak. This wasn't a surprise. As those closest to him know, and Ted himself admitted many times during that period, Cliff is the man responsible for making Ted Nugent a household name.
Originally brought in to produce Ted by Lew Futterman in 1975 and eventually, taking over duties behind the drums. his contributions to Ted Nugent's career cannot be ignored. He was an Unknown Hero of Rock a man who did his job but is often overlooked beyond being a name on an album jacket. However, beyond just his production credits, for example, there are many little known pieces of trivia, Cliff was the voice on the studio version of the song Stormtroopin. Derek St. Holmes who always sung the song live, didn't particularly like the song and so Cliff stepped in to provide the studio vocal. He also co-wrote and/or arranged all of Ted Nugent's biggest hits though given little or no credit. He didn't need that. That was the way he was. The ultimate team player. For example, the "Bolero" section of Stranglehold was created by Cliff. He also wrote the songs "Together" and "I Love You So I Told You A Lie" from Free-For-All. Again, all of this behind the scenes and never was there any complaints about who should get credit.
After leaving Ted Nugent in the early 1980's, Cliff spent time working as a producer for various projects including the final Grand Funk album, "What's Funk". Eventually, however, he walked away from the industry.
In recent years, Cliff lived in the Atlanta, Georgia area. In 2005, after a brief reunion with former band mates Rob Grange and Derek St. Holmes, he began work on the development of the Rock and Roll Remembers Foundation, a charity close to his heart. The foundation, in Cliff's words, was a long time in coming as there was a need that needed to be filled. And so Rock and Roll Remembers was created specifically targeting those within the rock and roll industry. It's mission was and is to aid and assist those within the rock and roll community who fall on hard times. Even though he was not financially secure himself, he generously donated his time to help this cause, something that will never be forgotten by those whom we are able to help in the future. That was the way Cliff lived. He always had time for others. His work will not be for naught and the foundation will move forward in the hopes of being able to truly help those in need the way Cliff wanted. However, there is a giant void that may never be filled.
His final production credit and recorded appearances were all to benefit Rock and Roll Remembers. As a member of the Unknown Heroes of Rock, Cliff produced a studio EP featuring himself on drums and an assortment of friends lending a hand to help raise money for the foundation. It is currently available exclusively through the foundation. (If you would like a copy, please contact Rock and Roll Remembers.) He also made his final public appearance at a benefit concert on April 5, 2008 in Fresno, California as part of the Unknown Heroes.

Ouais, une bien triste news... J'adorai aussi ce batteur. Un jeu sobre mais efficace. J'adore bien sur les premiers album du Ted mais surtout State of Shock :tooot: Pour memoire..

Décès du batteur de Ted Nugent
Clifford Davies, le batteur des 6 premiers albums solo de Ted Nugent, a été retrouvé mort dimanche, chez lui, dans la région d'Atlanta aux Etats-Unis. Le musicien était âgé de 59 ans. D'après les dernières informations, il s'agirait d'un suicide. On rappellera que Clifford Davies était notamment présent sur le célèbre album "Cat Scratch Fever" sorti en 1977, un album qu'il avait d'ailleurs co-produit.

Encore un qui n'est pas mort dans son lit... :

Oui, j'étais à Balard le 11 février 1984, lorsque Ted Nugent à ouvert pour Judas Priest... Mémorable...!!!
