Bon, Brian May va mieux et ça, c'est une bonne nouvelle. Lui et Roger Taylor se sont remis à travailler sur le biopic consacré à Freddie Mercury avec dans le rôle principal, Bryan Singer, le réalisateur entre autres du film-culte Usual Suspects.

New York – January 26, 2017 – Back by popular demand, Queen + Adam Lambert will rock North America this summer with a highly-anticipated 25-city arena tour kicking off June 23 in Phoenix, Arizona at Gila River Arena, followed shortly after with a special Los Angeles Hollywood Bowl performance, June 26.

After wildly successful and sold out tours throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, Latin and North America, Brian May, Roger Taylor + Adam Lambert will debut a brand new show specially designed and created for this outing, bringing fans all their favorite Queen hits, like “Another One Bites the Dust,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Will Rock You,” “We Are The Champions”. L'effigie de l'ancien chanteur de «Queen» décédé en 1991 a été trouvée recouverte de peinture jaune et verte lundi à Montreux.

Les membres de la page Facebook «MyMontreux.ch» sont outrés. La statue de Freddie Mercury a été vandalisée, probablement dans la nuit de dimanche à lundi. «Les mots me manquent!!!, commente quelqu'un. Pourquoi ces idiots détruisent-ils les choses des autres? Nous avons tous des choses que nous aimons ou que nous détestons, c'est ce qui nous rend uniques. J'espère que ceux qui ont fait ça seront arrêtés.»

D'autres commentaires sont bien plus corrosifs. Les moins durs condamnent le geste en espérant rapidement retrouver une statue propre. «C'est honteux j'espère qu'on va faire disparaître très vite cette idiotie!!si la bêtise de ces gens pouvait disparaître aussi!!!!», affirme un internaute. «Lamentable! Cette statue est une marque à Montreux», regrette quelqu'un d'autre.

Plaisanterie

Certains proposent de dédramatiser avec une blague un peu facile: «Je trouve que Freddie a l'air plus 'gai' comme cela», en référence à l’orientation sexuelle du Britannique.

Au bout du fil, un porte-parole de la police Riviera confirme que la statue a bien été vandalisée, sans toutefois pouvoir donner de détails sur le moment où l'incivilité a eu lieu. «La voirie est en train de la nettoyer au Kärcher, a précisé le porte-parole peu avant 14h. Elle redeviendra aussi propre qu'avant.»

La commune n'ayant pour l'instant pas déposé de plainte pour dommage à la propriété, aucune enquête n'a encore été ouverte.

Pourquoi, ? Brian May est un très grand guitariste, d'ailleurs la preuve:

Je n'en doute pas. Mes craintes concernent davantage la chanteuse Kerry Ellis.

Le chant sur cette chanson, on s'en branle, c'est les parties de grate qui compte, et puis elle chante comme il faut pour une gonzesse (je regarde que ma femme ne soit pas dans mon dos )

Nan, on ne s'en branle pas en ce sens que si le chant ne se trouve pas dans la tonalité ici lynottienne, on va assister à une véritable catastrophe. J'ai déjà entendu cette chanteuse et franchement je la trouve assez quelconque voire limite dans le registre vocal qu'elle adopte. Qu'elle reprenne ce qu'elle veut mais pas du Lizzy.

Sinon, je n'ai pas envie d'assister à un autre massacre d'un titre de Lizzy déjà qu'on en a eu un "bel exemple" en 2012. Voici pour ta gouverne ce qui s'était produit lors du Sunflower Jam Festival où Dickinson et Uli Jon Roth massacraient (parce qu'il n'y a pas d'autres mots) Emerald de Lizzy.



Pour les groupes que l'on aime, on a un peu du mal à accepter le fait que leur répertoire soit quelque peu "bousculé". Peut-être que ce sera bien mais comme on dit à Fos, pour l'instant, je suis sceptique....

April 16, 1974 - QUEEN played their very first US concert at Denver's Regis College opening for Mott The Hoople. They remained on tour with Mott until they had to cancel all other concerts after 11 May 1974 when Brian May contracted hepatitis. It was the very last time Queen ever opened for anyone. All following tours, they became and remained headliners.

London – 18th April, 2017. Just weeks after announcing a 26-date summer tour of North America, Queen + Adam Lambert today revealed further live plans for 2017 which will now see the band return to Europe later this year for a series of 24 dates including 12 arena concerts in the UK and Ireland. The tour will showcase a spectacular new stage production and a set list that the band hints will provide some surprises.

Queen + Adam Lambert’s 11-city UK and Ireland tour will kick off in Dublin on 25th November. They perform in Belfast in Northern Ireland the following day, then reach mainland Britain on 28th November to play Liverpool’s Echo Arena. More dates follow in Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, Nottingham, Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester, climaxing with two huge London shows at the O2 Arena on 12th December and The SSE Arena, Wembley, on 15th December. Tickets will be on general sale from Friday 21st April, with pre-sales starting two days earlier, Wednesday 19th April. The tour is presented by Phil McIntyre Entertainments.

These shows will mark the band’s first full British tour in almost three years, having last performed across the UK in January 2015 when they played 10 sold out shows. Their only UK appearance in 2016 was a one-off headlining set at the closing night of the Isle of Wight Festival on Sunday 12th June, part of a 15-date European summer festival tour. Isle of Wight festival organizer John Giddings credited the band with “the greatest show we have ever had”.

For their 2017 tour, the band will unveil a brand new show including a specially designed state-of-the-art production. The choice of performance material will no doubt acknowledge this year’s 40th anniversary of Queen’s biggest-selling studio album to date, News of the World from 1977, which yielded the immortal anthems “We Will Rock You” and “We Are the Champions”.

Queen drummer and co-founder Roger Taylor insists the 2017 tour “will look entirely different to the show we took around before. Production has really changed a lot, the things you can do now, you have a much broader palette, the technology has really come along. But we don’t use it all. We don’t play to click track. It’s 100% live. We're planning on doing stuff we either haven't done before or haven't done for a long time. We started as an albums band, that's what we were. The fact that we had hits was just a byproduct.”

Guitarist Brian May confirms Queen’s 2017 shows will have a more ambitious musical agenda. “The general public knows the hits, so you've got to cater for that,” he says, “but we can chuck in a few things that people really don't expect. We’ll do quite a bit more of that this time around. There are so many dimensions to Adam, which of course fits with our music. He can get down and do the rock stuff really dirty, and you have all those dimensions, and we can explore that even more.”

Adam Lambert welcomes the challenge of digging deeper into the band’s canon of classics. “What people should know if they came to the shows a couple of years back, is obviously we will still be playing the big hit songs you know and love from Queen, but we thought it would be good to challenge ourselves a bit,” he explains. “Change it up a little bit, change the visuals, change all the technology, change the set list to some degree. We will probably be pulling some other songs out of the Queen catalogue which we haven’t done before, which I am very excited about.”

Tickets will go on general sale beginning Friday 21st April at 10AM local time through local agents.
