Nouvel album à paraître le 1er juin en Europe et le 5 juin aux US :

German thrash metal veterans KREATOR will release their new album, "Phantom Antichrist", on June 1 in Europe and June 5 in North America via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was recorded at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden with renowned producer Jens Bogren (OPETH, KATATONIA, SOILWORK, DEVIN TOWNSEND, AMON AMARTH).

The cover artwork for the standard edition of "Phantom Antichrist" was created by Wes Benscoter (SLAYER, DIO, BLACK SABBATH) and can be seen below.

The limited edition of "Phantom Antichrist" will be made available as two-disc digipack, including a bonus DVD.

KREATOR will release a seven-inch single containing the "Phantom Antichrist" title track on April 20. The collector's item will be available in colored red vinyl (limited to 250 pieces) as well as in clear vinyl (limited to 250 pieces, exclusively available at the Nuclear Blast mailorder).

When asked about the musical direction of KREATOR's new material, the band's guitarist/vocalist Miland "Mille" Petrozza stated in a recent interview, "I think it's OK to say that this will be our most epic album so far. There's some classical, a lot of traditional metal, and, of course, a huge dose of thrash metal influences in the new stuff."

Speaking to Aftonbladet journalist Mattias Kling, Petrozza stated about KREATOR's collaboration with Jens Bogren, "He's really good; I like him. I like the sounds that he gets. And I think the combination — Jens Bogren and KREATOR — it will be pretty heavy."

On the topic of how the new material is different from KREATOR's previous output, Mille said, "It will definitely have all the KREATOR trademarks. The lyrics will talk about nowadays stuff, as usual, so it will be like a photography of the year 2012. Also the lyrics will deal a lot of things that are actually happening at this point in time. It will be like reading a newspaper or something [laughs], with all the stuff happening. And, of course, the music will be typical KREATOR, and we also wanna expand the sound and progress as musicians. I mean, this lineup has been the strongest lineup KREATOR ever had since ten years, and now I think we're ready to come out with an album that blows everyone away."

KREATOR has selected Poland's Grupa 13 (BEHEMOTH, ELUVEITIE, SONATA ARCTICA, DECAPITATED) to helm the video for the title track of their forthcoming album, "Phantom Antichrist".

Un lot de nouvelles dates a été annoncé pour la tournée européenne qui réunira KREATOR, MORBID ANGEL, NILE et FUELED BY FIRE qui démarrera en novembre prochain. Parmi celles-ci on trouve un passage à Lyon le 12 novembre, au Transbordeur, et par la Suisse : le 26 novembre au Fri-Son de Fribourg, le 18 décembre au Komplex de Zürich. Enfin, pour les frontaliers, il y aura aussi un passage au Garage de Saarbrücken (Allemagne) le 19 décembre.

KREATOR a annoncé que le dernier concert de sa tournée actuelle, le 22 décembre à Oberhausen (Allemagne) sera filmé par 24 caméras et enregistré en son 5.1 pour la sortie d’un album et d’un DVD/Blu-Ray live.

KREATOR sortira son nouveau DVD/Blu-Ray live intitulé Dying Alive le 22 septembre prochain chez Nuclear Blast, illustrant le concert du combo à Oberhausen, en Allemagne, le 22 décembre 2012 et comportant également un documentaire sur les coulisses de leur dernière tournée ainsi que des clips, pour une durée totale d’environ 115 minutes. Un second extrait (après ‘United In Hate’) de ce live, avec le titre ‘Death To The World’, est désormais disponible en ligne.

Kreator, Arch Enemy, tournée, Bataclan, Phantom Antichrist, metal, thrash, death

Attention aux thrashers de frocs et amateurs de metal sanguinolent, voici une affiche qui promet de déverser des litres d'hémoglobine. Kreator et Arch Enemy vont faire une tournée en double-tête d'affiche en Europe. Si Kreator n'a toujours pas sorti d'album, Arch Enemy en profitera pour présenter des titres de War Eternal et permettra aux fans d'apprécier les performances de la nouvelle chanteuse Alissa White-Gluzz.

Mille Petrozza, chanteur et guitariste de Kreator, y est allé de son petit commentaire : "Plein de nos fans européens se sont plaints que le groupe ne fait pas assez de tournées en club en Europe (hors festivals). En 2013 nous avons été occupés avec nos fans sur les autres continents. Nous voulons changer cela maintenant. Alors qu'Endless Pain, Pleasure To Kill et Extreme Aggression sont en train de ressortir sous tous les formats, nous allons finir le cycle de Phantom Antichrist avec une suite de concerts massive. Nous sommes en train de travailler sur de nouveaux éléments de show sur grand écran et nous avons un tas de surprises dans la setlist."

Michael Ammot, guitariste et membre fondateur d'Arch Enemy a aussi commenté la nouvelle : "Oui, quelle super tournée ! Cela fait 10 ans que nous voulons tourner avec Kreator et ça arrive enfin ! Kreator est l'un des groupes qui m'ont inspirés à jouer plus vite et plus fort quand j'ai grandi et je suis heureux de pouvoir considérer Mille Petrozza comme un ami depuis quelques années maintenant. Cette tournée est un véritable massacre metal, le genre de concert que tu ne veux pas rater. Nous sommes très excités à l'idée d'en faire partie et nous avons hâte de montrer aux fans les dégats que peut provoquer Arch Enemy en mode revitaminé en 2014 !"

The cover artwork for the disc was created by renowned artist Jan Meininghaus, who also made the limited-edition artwork for KREATOR's last album, 2012's "Phantom Antichrist", and has lent his talents to bands like BOLT THROWER, ACCEPT and OVERKILL in the past. Commented KREATOR mastermind Mille Petrozza: "'Gods Of Violence' was the very first song that I wrote for this album, and it stuck to me as the title track. It contains everything that KREATOR is known for and it will blow your minds. I promise!"

Regarding the artwork, Petrozza added: "The cover of is a perfect reflection of my lyrical vision. I think this is Jan Meininghaus's best work so far."

"Gods Of Violence" will contain 11 tracks with a total running time of approximately 52 minutes.

"Gods Of Violence" was recorded under the watchful eyes of producer Jens Bogren (OPETH, AMON AMARTH, KATATONIA) who also mixed the record at renowned Fascination Street Studios. Mastering was done by Tony Lindgren, also at Fascination Street Studios.

KREATOR will tour Europe in support of the new CD beginning in early February. Guitarist/singer Mille Petrozza and his crew will be accompanied by a varied as well as iconic billing. Brazilian-American extreme metal pioneers SEPULTURA are announced to be direct support to the headliners, followed by visionary Swedish melodic death metallers SOILWORK and Belgium's finest death/grind outfit ABORTED.

"Phantom Antichrist" sold 3,900 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at No. 1 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

Au menu aussi une nouvelle édition au format cassette de la démo "End Of The World", une clé USB avec une figurine de "Violent Mind" , et tous les albums au format mp3. On y trouve enfin un livre de 40 pages (30cmx30cm) avec des photos, des citations et les paroles de la première décennie du groupe.
