WHITESNAKE

La periode que j'adore de whitesnake,c'est 1980/82 avec des albums comme ready an'willing,come an'get it et saint & sinner.
C'a sentait encore le male en rute,la transpiration.Par la suite,c'etait plutot parfum et permanente.Il a eu beau mettre des bimbos a tour de bras dans ces clips,mais rien n'y faisait.Le serpent avait pris un coup de chaud.Dommage.

C'était aussi le chanteur sur les 1ers albums de Masterplan, groupe fondé par Uli Kusch et Roland Grapow, ex-Helloween

Tommy Aldrige aurait quitté Whitesnake et serait remplacé par Chris Frazier qui joua entre autres sur l'album de Steve Vai Passion And Warfare . D' ici à ce que ce dernier se radine et jarte l'ami Aldrich , il n'y a pas loin.

David Coverdale a annoncé la sortie du prochain album de Whitesnake "Good to be Bad" pour la fin avril, et a déclaré également que par moment les nouveaux titres sont "bluesy" et tout a fait dans le style des premiers disques.
L'album comporte 8 chansons Rock et trois Slows.
Voici les titres :

From 1973 to 1976 Coverdale was the vocalist with Deep Purple, one of the biggest bands in the world. In late 1977, a year after leaving, he formed Whitesnake as a blues-based, melodic rock band to tour and promote his solo records ‘Whitesnake’ and ‘Northwinds’.

The band then took on a life and an identity of its own, attracting not only the supporters from Deep Purple, but a whole new audience hungry for the blues, soul and good time rock Whitesnake offered.

In the early 90’s Coverdale spent 3 years working with Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, on the rock classic ‘Coverdale Page’ album, before retiring from the music business for several years."

C'est clair qu'entre la pochette et le titre,c'est pas trop inspiré.J'espere que le contenu sera pas aussi "cliché".

Wolverhampton 5th March 1978 - the 3rd Whitesnake concert ever at Club Lafayette, Wolverhampton.
There were about 100 in the audience that included Ian Paice - are you in the photo with Ian?
David told me after his 2004 Wolverhampton concert that he remembered the 1978 concert as the one where he put his fist through the ceiling!

The stage was about 6" high. They had the lowest budget light show ever - a huge red light on the left, a green one on the right. Micky Moody is not wearing a hat!

Liverpool 4th November 1979 - Again the Classic Whitesnake line-up on the 'Lovehunter' tour. My photographs recently reminded Bernie Marsden that they had an amazing lighting set-up (considerably different to the 1978 Wolverhampton gig). Micky Moody remarked that it was a good job that his guitar teacher hadn't seen photograph 0270f05cth!

The scarf that David has tied to his waistband was given to him before the concert by a fan called Kevin.

Wolverhampton 30th November 2004 - David remembered his first concert at Wolverhampton in 1978 when I met him backstage after this concert. He signed some of my 1976 Deep Purple photos (his last concert with the group). Doug Aldrich gave me a plectrum. I have 2 of Tommy Aldridge's drumsticks from his days in Black Oak Arkansas in the 1970's.

pour le nouvel album, j'attends de voir, franchement comme ça bof bof ...

j'adorais jusqu'à 84 maxi, c'était vraiment du bon hard matiné blues & soul.

je les ai vu à Paris en 83 (je crois), à Balard, dans le 15ème, y avait à tout casser 300 personnes dans la salle, ils ont fait un concert mémorable.

et puis le double "live in the heart of the city" c'est quand même quelque chose.
