| Bad Company To Reunite For A Day4.Jul 2008 MUSIC NEWS – BAD COMPANY TO REUNITE FOR A DAYBad Company hasn’t performed together since 1999 but this summer, they’ll play a one-off show together at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Paul Rodgers spoke to Billboard saying, “It’ll be great to see the guys and play and go back down that road again just for one night.” We spoke to drummer Simon Kirke last year who seemed all for getting back together. “I feel pretty good about them. We had a great run, 30 odd years, very odd years. I’m not saying we’re dead in the water yet. There’s always a chance we’ll do another tour. We’ll see. I know Mick (Ralphs), the guitar player, wants to do something and I’d like to, I don’t mind. If the music is good and if we get on decently.” As for why the one show, Rodgers explained, “What I’m doing is protecting the legacy that we have built… By doing this one night stand with Bad Company, we will be cementing our right to the trademark ‘Bad Company’ for touring, and anyone who attempts to challenge us and tour misusing our trademark and misleading the fans will be liable to legal action.” The show, which’ll take place on August 8th, will be recorded for a DVD that will accompany a Bad Company compilation album set to hit shelves later this year. Don’t expect more from the band though, Paul is busy working with Queen as well as on his solo career. He’s got a new album tentatively titled The Cosmos Rock due out this fall. |

_________________ http://judas-priest.zikforum.com/forum.htm

| Bad Co jette l'éponge : BAD COMPANY lead singer and co-founder Paul Rodgers told Scott Smith of Times Record in a new interview that the band's concert on October 7 at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Catoosa, Oklahoma, near Tulsa, could be the group's swan song to American fans.
"After this Tulsa show, there will be no further plans for BAD COMPANY beyond dates in Japan," said Rodgers. "I'm working on new solo material in the studio, and I've got a solo U.K. tour planned later, so I'm just seeing how it goes."
When asked what instigated Rodgers' reunion with Mick Ralphs (guitar) and Simon Kirke (drums) in 2008, the singer laughed.
"I just called Mick and asked, 'What are you up to?'" he said. "We put the band together to play the Hard Rock (in Hollywood, Fla.), and they said we should record it to DVD. We did, and it was so nice to be back together. It was fresh — we will have another DVD from our show at Wembley Arena coming out as well — so we decided to expand to more dates." |

| DISCLIVE va enregistrer tous les shows de la tournée célébrant des 40 ans du groupe :
DISCLIVE NETWORK TO RECORD BAD COMPANY'S 40TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR: Individually numbered packages will contain that night's full show and an exclusive bonus Rockumentary Interview CD Memphis, TN. March, 11, 2013 – Bad Company has announced the complete itinerary for the band's Summer tour of the U.S. Celebrating their 40th anniversary since forming, the excursion begins on June 15 in Rancho Mirage, CA and will stage 22 dates, ending on August 3 in Orilla, Ontario, including 13 Co-Headline dates with Lynyrd Skynyrd. DiscLive Network, the global leader in the field of “instant” live content, will be recording and releasing commemorative 40th Anniversary CD sets for the band at each stop along the way.* Bad Company were dubbed a super-group upon the band's formation due to the union of Free's Paul Rodgers (Vocals / Multi-Instrumentalist) with Mott The Hoople's Mick Ralphs (Guitar) plus Free's Simon Kirke (Drums) and King Crimson's Boz Burrell (Bass), who passed away in 2006. Over the next nine years, the band released a string of six albums that sold tens of millions of copies, yielding international hits "Can't Get Enough," "Bad Company," "Feel Like Makin' Love," and many others penned by the main songwriters Paul Rodgers and Mick Ralphs. Original members Rodgers, Ralphs, and Kirke will be joined by guitarist Howard Leese and bassist Todd Ronning (from Paul Rodgers solo band). Bad Company has inspired many of today's musicians, most notably, metal band Five Finger Death Punch who scored a #1 Active Rock hit with a cover of the song "Bad Company". Since 2001, the band has had only a few isolated performances, and has not staged a tour of the United States and Canada until now. In front of the run, Rodgers shares, "When Mick and I formed the band in the 70's we were amazed at the instant success. It didn't hurt to have Led Zeppelin behind us, and we wrote some decent songs that still resonate. This one is for fans." “This is a huge milestone for Bad Company,” said Bair, “and we are so excited to be part of it. We've previously worked with Paul and the guys, and they sound amazing and are a lot of fun to work with. Their fans were simply spectacular and we are very excited to be offering this exceptional collectible product to them.” The fully mixed and mastered CD sets will be packaged in high-gloss DigiPaks, commemorating the band's incredible 40 year journey with a silver stamped Bad Company logo on the front. Each package will contain a double CD set of the night's performance, along with a bonus “Rockumentary” CD featuring an exclusive new interview from syndicated radio personality Redbeard, of InTheStudio. Each copy will be individually numbered and only a few hundred will be made for each show. Once they are gone, they will be gone forever! The initial tour dates that will feature a DiscLive Network recording are below. Fans can pre-order a copy of these very special keepsakes at www.disclivenetwork.com and choose to pick it up at the venue or have it shipped to them. They can also purchase a copy on-site while supplies last. |

BAD COMPANY To Issue Archive Shows For all their popularity, BAD COMPANY‘s classic line-up has never been blessed with an official live album, as 2006’s “Live In Albuquerque 1976” was withdrawn by Angel Air soon after its release, and 2002’s "Merchants Of Cool" didn’t feature Boz Burrell. Bootlegs proliferated, though, but on April 29th Atlantic Records, who owned the band’s label – a LED ZEPPELIN imprint – Swan Song, are to issue a 2CD-set of vintage recordings titled “Live In Concert 1977 & 1979” that’s comprised of two on-stage tapes whose tracklist seems to be shorter than what the band played on those nights – one could do without Simon Kirke‘s solo, really, when something other had to be cut out – yet that’s a fantastic document anyway, with some rare songs aired. Hopefully, there’ll be more archive releases. Meanwhile, the forthcoming set runs as follows: CD1: The Summit, Houston – May 23rd, 1977: BAD COMPANY - Live In Concert 1977 & 1979 BAD COMPANY – Live In Concert 1977 & 1979 1. Burnin’ Sky 2. Too Bad 3. Ready For Love 4. Heartbeat 5. Morning Sun 6. Man Needs Woman 7. Leaving You 8. Shooting Star 9. Simple Man 10. Movin’ On 11. Like Water 12. Live For The Music 13. Drum Solo 14. Good Lovin’ Gone Bad 15. Feel Like Makin’ Love CD2: The Empire Pool, Wembley, London – March 9, 1979 1. Bad Company 2. Gone, Gone, Gone 3. Shooting Star 4. Rhythm Machine 5. Oh, Atlanta 6. She Brings Me Love 7. Run With The Pack 8. Evil Wind 9. Drum Solo 10. Honey Child 11. Rock Steady 12. Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy 13. Hey Joe (Capitol Center, Washington, DC, June 26th,1979) 14. Feel Like Makin’ Love 15. Can’t Get Enough Tweet March 2, 2016 |

Indispensable. |
