THE ANGELS

y a t'il des amateurs de ce groupe genial apparu en 1979 en france sous le nom de ANGEL CITY et qui s'appelle en fait THE ANGELS dans son pays d'origine l'australie ; un rock bien trempé avec des airs d'AC/DC qui fit sans doute leur tort ,car leur musique fut toujours comparée à celle des boys ,et de par ce fait impossible de percer vraiment le marché international ,leur albums étant meme assez difficile à trouver sauf en pressage australien!!!

Du bon rock,des chansons extras.Le Live line est sublime

Excellent, j'ai pas mal d'albums studios d'eux. J'ai acheté mon premier vinyl du groupe en 1981 ("Dark Room") et j'avais craqué sur le morceau "Face the Day" !

Pareil . J' ai poursuivi avec Night attack qui m' avait quelque peu déçu . Long break jusqu 'au Liveline que j' ai trimbalé pendant les vacances d' été 88 dans une tente de camping (chaleur ..... ) et que j' avais trouvé en import australien sur Mushroom Records . Ma femme s' en souvient encore . Nous n' étions pas encore mariés .

Tres grand groupe, dommage que Doc Neeson soit parti.
Les 4 premiers albums sont indispensables et le live line ben indispensable aussi...... aaah Marseille.... :king:

J' ai un Live in Paris 1980

Super groupe ! Les premiers albums, le live et "Two minutes warning" sont des musts. J'ai eu la chance de les voir en concert et c'était vraiment quelque chose !

Hi Friends,

Sorry for my long silence. I have been getting all your messages and even though I don’t answer it doesn’t mean I don’t read and enjoy them and so often want to reply personally. Sometimes I start but then it all goes out the window. I’m stopped by tiredness and aches that make me feel like every bone in my body is dragging me down.

I loved all the Christmas and Birthday messages you sent but unfortunately I didn’t get them on the day. For the second year in a row I was in hospital over almost the entire Festive Season.

On New Year’s Eve just as I was getting ready to go out on Sydney Harbour and see the fireworks with friends and celebrate, instead I was carted off in an ambulance with lights and sirens. This time it was chest pain that wouldn’t let up and after a lot of tests they discovered a heart problem.

Earlier this month I underwent a life-saving operation to put stents into two main arteries which were almost completely blocked. Fortunately the operation was very successful and since then I have been recovering at home. Very soon I hope to get back on track for making a record for you but right now I need to rest.

I wish you all a great 2014 and would just like to thank you for your continuing and much appreciated support as I continue chemotherapy to murder any C-word invaders that dare to try and get back into my body.

Oups, bien vu ... faut dire qu'entre les Doc Neeson et Dave Gleeson, il y a de quoi perdre son anglais, surtout quand on en a très peu ...

Pris sur la dime, pas évident de trouver des boots d'Angel city (mode européen), pas évident d'en trouver, en plus la setlist est bonne.   

Ils attaquent une sacrée tournée en Australie, il y en aura peut-être d'autres ... Ne loupe pas celui-ci, en première partie ils jouent l'intégralité de leur dernier album. Pas trop cherché d'infos, je suppose que c'était la première date de la tournée :

  Spectacle en plein air, très bon son et image, ambiance dans le public, ça doit pleurer là-bas ....
