Bah non, mais celui d'aujourd'hui oui.

Concernant le concert, très bon bien entendu, mais sans Doc, il manque quelqu'un, même si ce n'est pas la première fois que j'entends Dave  Gleeson qui fait très bien le job.
Par contre, pourquoi envoyer deux covers ? Passe encore le titre des Animals, "We've Gotta Get Out of This Place" qui s'intègre très bien, mais je n'en dirai pas autant pour "La Grange". Ils ont largement de quoi faire avec leur discographie, non ?

Oui c 'est un peu étonnant effectivement, n' empêche que j' ai vraiment adoré cette reprise de "La grange", elle est plus roots que l' originale, plus courte et le solo de John Brewster à l' harmonica est impeccable.

In their prime, 1977-1991, The Angels were an explosive and theatrical rage – a guaranteed great time band. Fronted by the devilishly dynamic Doc Neeson and powered by guitarist-brothers Rick and John Brewster, the band are synonymous with the Australian rock and roll landscape.

First released in 1990, and preceded by the smash hit single 'Dogs Are Talking', Beyond Salvation was The Angels' first and only number one Australian album, and the biggest album of their career. Produced in Memphis with ZZ Top and Led Zeppelin engineer Terry Manning, the album contained four huge hits – 'Dogs Are Talking'3, 'Back Street Pick Up', 'Let The Night Roll On' and 'Rhythm Rude Girl'.

The 25th Anniversary reissue has been lovingly restored and remastered by original producer Terry Manning and contains the original album as well as some b-sides and rarities from the period, as well as a number of the band's earlier hits re-recorded for the US version of the album. It also includes the audio of 'Beyond Salvation Live' a gig from 1990 featuring live versions of songs from the album.

En ce moment, j'écoute un boot qui me remplit toujours de nostalgie ...  certainement le dernier live enregistré de Doc Neeson ! Enregistré avec un Iphone 4 et son micro interne, le son est vite saturé, mais au final ça donne bien et la voix, cette p*tain de voix, est bien présente. J'en avais parlé sommairement page précédente.

After leaving the iconic anthemic band ‘The Angels’ (‘Angel City’ in the US) due to injuries that meant he could no longer tour, Doc went through long periods of treatment. Most of these were at Westmead Hospital. The Tavern is nearby and Doc occasionally did a gig when he felt well enough. This was the last one he ever played at the place. He was off to the Tamworth music festival soon afterwards and so played quite a few covers of country standards - as well as a few Angels tracks.

This is the first time I’ve tried recording and sharing something. I used the only device I had on me at the time - an iPhone 4 using the phone’s built-in microphone. Not the highest quality but I’m pleasantly surprised how good it sounds.
