Robert Plant dément. Il prétend qu'il a mis le holà concernant certaines éventuelles performances live du groupe. Par ailleurs, cette rumeur semble avoir été montée de toutes pièces par Daily Mirror.

Citing an anonymous source, UK tabloid The Mirror recently reported that Robert Plant had turned down an $800 million offer from Richard Branson to reunite Led Zeppelin for a 35-show, three-city tour.

“Jimmy [Page], John [Paul Jones], and Jason [Bonham] signed up immediately,” the source told The Mirror. “It was a no-brainer for them but Robert asked for 48 hours to think about it. When he said no and ripped up the paperwork he had been given, there was an enormous sense of shock. There is no way they can go ahead without him.” The Mirror went on to add that Branson even offered to give the band one of his airplanes and rebrand it “The Starship.”

Turns out none of this actually happened: While it is true that Plant has put the kibosh on further Led Zeppelin performances since the band’s one-off reunion in 2007, the scenario laid out by The Mirror was entirely fabricated. A spokesman for Plant issued a one-word response (via Blabbermouth), simply stating, “rubbish.” The Mirror, meanwhile, has removed the story from its website.

Instead, Plant is currently out on the road supporting his new solo album, lullaby and… The Ceaseless Roar, while bandmate Jimmy Page recently appeared on Letterman to promote Zeppelin’s latest batch of reissues.

Durant une interview accordée au magazine Men Of The Year, Jimmy Page à une question qu'on lui posait au sujet de son implication sur In Through The Out Door, s'est quelque peu froissé en affirmant qu'il n'était pas accro à l'héroïne.
"Comment savez-vous que j'avais un problème par rapport à l'héroïne ? J'étais là pendant les sessions sessions d'enregistrement de l'album. Pour ceux qui en doutent, étaient-ils là au moment de l'enregistrement ?"

That quote about sums up the confrontational tone set between Jimmy Page and GQ during the magazine’s ‘Men of the Year’ feature on the former Led Zeppelin guitarist — a conversation that found him repeatedly shrugging off questions about his personal life and irritably refusing to wave away the fog of rumor that’s long surrounded the band.
Page took particular umbrage when confronted with the widespread belief that he was strung out on heroin during Zeppelin’s later years, and that sessions for the band’s ‘In Through the Out Door‘ album proceeded largely without his involvement. “How do you know I had a heroin problem? You don’t know what I had or what I didn’t have,” retorted Page. “All I will say is this: My responsibilities to the music did not change. I didn’t drop out or quit working. I was there, just as much as anyone else was.”
Regarding the subject of whether he was absent while ‘In Through the Out Door’ was coming together, Page snapped, “If anyone wants to say that, the first thing you have to ask them is, ‘Were you there at the time?’ The second thing to take on board is the fact that I am the producer of ‘In Through the Out Door.’ That’s what I did. It’s right there in black and white. If there were controversy over this, if John Paul Jones or Robert Plant had done what you’re implying, wouldn’t they have wanted to be listed as the producers of the album? So let’s just forget all that.”
Sadly, the conversation never had a chance to get into Page’s new music, which may see the light of day in 2015; instead, the interview was run aground with a question about whether Page teamed up with David Coverdale in the early ’90s in order to annoy Plant (“That’s pathetic. I’m not going to answer that”) and another about his interest in the occult. We’ll just have to wait and see what Page has planned for his next act — and remember that when it happens, he’ll insist on letting the music speak for itself.

toutes les stars qui etaient touchées par la dope, l ont admis : tyler, hughes, sixx, lemmy, ...

mais bon, il ne faut pas ecorner la legende !

il ferait mieux d embaucher Ann Wilson pour reformer LZ, ça le calmera et ça nous fera des vacances

Pour Page, il n'y a jamais prescription quand on parle de Led Zeppelin.

c'est sur qu on peut imaginer sans souci qu il n a jamais eu besoin de prescription de son medecin pour prendre de la dope elle est bonne !!! hein ???
